AN ENORMOUS collection of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's furniture is to go under the hammer at Tennants Auctioneers next month.
About 100 lots will be sold and they are expected to make between £100,000 and £200,000 when the auction takes place, from July 17-19.
Lots on offer include bookcases, door surrounds, pen trays, tables, chairs and inkwells.

The items have become available because Leeds Girls High School, in Headingley, is clearing out its buildings in preparation for a move.
The Kilburn craftsman, who died in 1955, was commissioned to furnish the school's library and he has left his carved mouse trademark on many items of furniture.

Diane Sinnott, head of decorative arts for Tennants, said: "It is such pleasing furniture, not least because of the little mouse carved into every piece."
